Board of Endo Sapiens founders
The Endo Sapiens project aims to establish an active scientific collaboration between endodontists worldwide. We achieve this through congresses, publications and educational events aimed to increase practical knowledge around modern endodontics. The project was launched in 2021 by 3 eminent endodontists: Dr. Domenico Ricucci, Dr. Yoshi Terauchi and Dr. Talal Al-Nahlawi.
Dr. Domenico Ricucci (founder)
Founder of Endo Sapiens project
Dr. Domenico Ricucci received his degree in General Medicine from "La Sapienza" University of Rome in 1982, and his DDS from the same University in 1985. Since then on he has maintained private dental practices limited to endodontics. He served in the Research Committee of the European Society of Endodontology from 1999 to 2005. Since 1998 he has run his own histology laboratory and his primary research interest relates to pulpal and periapical tissue reactions to caries and treatment procedures, biofilms in endodontic infections, etiology of RTC treatment failure, pulp regeneration / revascularization.

Dr Ricucci has published 112 papers and has lectured both nationally and internationally. He has authored the Textbook and Atlas "Patologia e Clinica Endodontica", the textbook and atlas "Endodontology. An integrated biological and clinical view", also translated into Chinese, Russian, Japanese. He has also authored or co-authored 22 book chapters.
Dr. Yoshi Terauchi (co-founder)

Dr. Terauchi is a part-time Professor at Tokyo Medical & Dental University and maintains a private practice limited to endodontics since 1998 in Tokyo, Japan. He earned his DDS in 1993 and completed his residency at Tokyo Medical & Dental University in 1995, where he also received his PhD from the Department of Endodontics. He has published numerous articles in peer- reviewed journals nationally and internationally. He also authored in several chapters in textbooks including the 11th edition of Pathways of the Pulp.
Dr. Talal Al-Nahlawi (co-founder)
Co-founder of Endo Sapiens project
Dr. Talal is is a reviewer in European Endodontic Journal, Damascus University for Health Sciences and International Medical and Dental Journal of Advanced Research peer-reviewed journals. He has a private practice in Damascus and United Arab Emirates mostly limited to Endodontics. Dr. Talal lectured in many national and international dental meetings. Currently he is a board director member of the Syrian Endodontic Society, lecturer in the esthetic dentistry and endodontic specialties program in the National Dental Center for post graduate studies, Endodontic program director of MHG Professional Development Dental Educational Institute Dubai, Advisory Board Member of the Dental Surgeons Association of India DSAI and Dental Students Welfare Association of India DSWAI, and associate professor at Syrian Private and Damascus Universities.
